Britain’s Andy Murray and USA’s Serena Williams won the Men’s and Ladies finals at Wimbledon this year, giving Murray his second Wimbledon title and Williams her sixth and record equalling twenty second Grand Slam title.

With the huge transfer fees getting paid by some top teams, European clubs are getting richer and richer each year. This is predominantly due to the increase in TV money and the fact that a lot of clubs are tying up commercial partnerships with countries and companies from outside Europe. As you will have noticed, many clubs now go on pre and post season tours outside the continent looking to capitalise on a commercial basis.
Due to the lovely British summer weather we have experienced over the past five days this year Wimbledon will be played on the middle Sunday for the first time since 2004.
Wimbledon, the most famous tennis tournament in the world, starts on Monday at the All England Club and Serena Williams and Novak Djokovic are both odds on favourites to win the singles’ titles. If they do it will be Williams’ seventh title and Djokovic’s fourth.
Leicester City, the 5000-1 outsiders back in August, were crowned Premier League Champions last weekend and in the end won the league quite comfortably.
According to the bookmakers there was more chance of David Cameron becoming the next Aston Villa than there was of Leicester winning the league. The NFL returns to London this year with three games, two at Wembley and one at Twickenham. The first game is at Wembley between the Indianapolis Colts and Jacksonville Jaguars on 2nd October, then on the 23rd New York Giants take on Los Angeles Rams at Twickenham Stadium and then on 30th October the Washington Redskins take on the Cincinnati Bengals.
