LFC History, Honours & Rivalries

Spurs hospitality and VIP tickets v man city, liverpool and chelsea

Liverpool Football Club were founded in 1892 and has played at Anfield since the day it was formed.

The club won the Lancashire league in its first season and joined the football league second division the following season and won the title in their first year. This led to promotion to the first division which it first won in 1901.

Liverpool FC is one of the most successful clubs in England having won the league 18 seasons (only Manchester United have won it more) the League Cup a record 8 times, the FA Cup on 8 occasions and the Community Shield 15 times. They haven’t won the league since the 1989/1990 season although have finished second a few times since – most notably in 2018-19 when Manchester City narrowly pipped them to the Premier League title.

The Reds are the most successful English club in Europe having won the European Cup/Champions League six times, UEFA Cup three times and the European Super Cup three times.

The Club is now owned by the Fenway Sports Group, an American based company having previously been owned by American businessmen Tom Hicks and George Gillett who bought the club from John Moores whose family had owned the club for over 50 years. They are currently the seventh richest football club in the world.

As mentioned, Liverpool have always played at Anfield however the stadium has obviously changed a lot since then. It started capacity at just 20,000 with the Kop built in 1906, which is renowned for its fantastic atmosphere. The stadium now holds close to 55,000 people and the Liverpool hospitality packages have recently been improved which coincided with the end of the construction work on the new main stand which cost 100 million. This stand is now three tiers rather than two and there are new additions to the Liverpool hospitality package offerings.

Their two biggest rivals are Everton, who also play in Liverpool, and Manchester United and between them they have won 38 league titles and 9 European Cups. They have both experienced title droughts – Liverpool’s being nearly 30 years now while Manchester United similarly went twenty-six years without a title.

If you are looking to go to Anfield this season we have a range of Liverpool hospitality packages which are located onsite and offsite and we only ever sell official Liverpool hospitality packages. Tickets are usually e-tickets which we simply email through to you. These include the onsite options – Centenary Club, Premier Club, 1892 Lounge, Anfield Code and Boot Room. Offsite packages include the Sandon, Isla Gladstone, Hilton and Aintree packages.

Do get in touch if you want further details on our Liverpool FC hospitality packages and we look forward to seeing you at Anfield soon.

LIVERPOOL CROWNED CHAMPIONS

Liverpool won their first title since the 1989-1990 season when Chelsea defeated their closest challengers, Man City, two-one. Liverpool’s first game as champions is away against Manchester City.

After several near misses over the last thirty years they have finally won the title and richly deserve it after serving up some scintillating football this season.

Their only defeat so far has come against Watford, at Vicarage Road, and they have regularly put teams to the sword with their strike force of Mane, Salah and Firmino causing sleepless nights for defenders. They have one of the best keepers in the world in Alisson, the world’s best centre back in Van Dijk and their inspirational captain Henderson has provided energy from midfield. They also won the UEFA Super Cup and Club World Cup, their only blot on the season being their loss to Atletico Madrid in the last sixteen of the Champions League.

They are also on course to go through the 100-point barrier, Man City have the current record of 100 points. Records they currently have are the best start of any team in Europe’s top five leagues having won 61 points from their first 21 matches. They have also won the most consecutive matches at home with their twenty first being against West Ham in February.

Records they are currently targeting this season, which all look within their grasp, are listed below:

Most victories in a season – Man City secured 32 in the 2017/18 and 2018/19 seasons and Liverpool are now just four away
Most home wins – Liverpool are on course to win all 19 home games, Chelsea, Man Utd and Man City have all won 18 in previous seasons
Most away wins – The record is 16 which Man City accomplished in the 2017/18 season; Liverpool will need to win all their remaining away games to equal this
Most points – Man City hit 100 and Liverpool need 14 from their last 21 games which looks very doable
Earliest title win – Both Manchester clubs have won the title with five games to spare, Liverpool could win it with six games to play…….
Biggest winning margin – Another record which they should break. Man City currently hold the record win 19 points in the 2017/2018 season

When they last won the league in 1989/90 Kenny Dalglish was manager where the likes of Hansen, Whelan, Rush and Barnes were the big stars. Nobody would have thought The Reds would have to wait another thirty years for their next title as clubs such as Man Utd, Man City, Arsenal and Chelsea became so successful.

Liverpool are one of the biggest clubs in the world and getting tickets is hard to come by unless you are a season ticket (there is a huge waiting list) or a member and getting tickets via memberships is very difficult as well as demand exceeds supply particularly for the big games. If you are going to Anfield you may get offered tickets from outside the ground but please do not buy these as they will be black market tickets and a lot more than face value, they will also probably not get you in the ground. The same applies with tickets bought on secondary ticket websites.

We can though offer a range of official Liverpool hospitality packages for every one of their games at Anfield. Liverpool’s hospitality packages range from cheap informal packages with a meal voucher and ticket to more VIP packages such as corporate boxes that come with full hospitality throughout the day. What could be better than having your own box with all your friends seeing Liverpool beat Man Utd.

Liverpool’s hospitality packages vary in price depending on the package bought, location of seats, the opponent, date and whether there is a lot to play for. The cheapest matches tend to be the League Cup and FA Cup games whilst the most expensive matches tend to be games against Manchester United and Manchester City. Later rounds of the Champions League are also extremely popular, the game they had last year against Barcelona in the Champions League Semi Final was huge and sold out quickly. They went on to win the Champions League Final against Tottenham Hotspur.

The tickets that come with Liverpool hospitality packages tend to be e-tickets which is easy for clients as we simply email them across around a week beforehand, you then print them out and they get scanned as you enter the stadium. You then enter the hospitality lounge and depending on the package enjoy a pre match meal before a short stroll to your seats. Some of the packages also include guest appearances from Liverpool legends from yesteryear who can reminisce about matches from when they played for Liverpool.

Another advantage of hospitality packages is that your group will be sat together in one of the stands and if you bought one of the more formal packages you and your guests will have your own table for the hospitality. Hospitality packages tend to start three hours before kick-off and continue for an hour after the match.

As mentioned there is a range of formal and informal Liverpool hospitality packages:

Private Boxes
This is the real VIP option at Anfield. Boxes tend to come with a champagne reception, complimentary bar, three or four course meal, match programme, visit from a Liverpool legend and post-match snacks.

Formal Packages
The more formal Liverpool hospitality packages include the Centenary Club which includes a four-course meal on a private table, reception drink, match seats towards the halfway line and visit from a Liverpool legend. The Premier Club has no set tables but is also popular and comes with seats alongside the pitch.

Informal Packages
These are the cheapest Liverpool hospitality packages, with some games starting from just £99 per person. These packages can be offsite such as the Sandon package or can also be very informal i.e. just an official ticket with programme and a half time drink.

We hope we have given you some good stats regarding Liverpool’s remarkable season and some options if you are looking to come to Anfield next season.
