The two week Oktoberfest festival in Munich regularly attracts five million guests who come to sample the wonderful atmosphere and enjoy the hospitality. The first Oktoberfest took place on October 12th in 1810, with the wedding of the Bavarian crown prince Ludwig to princess Therese from Saxony-Hildburghausen, and people from all over the world have been coming ever since.
The event will start with the Mayor of Munich tapping the first keg at noon on September 21st.
There are around fifteen beer tents varying in size, some are small such as the Hippodrome tent, with others bigger such as the mid range Schuetzen Festholle tent which holds around four thousand guests and the larger Schottenhamel tent which holds up to ten thousand guests.
It is essential you book the Oktoberfest early as accommodation and tables in the tents book out far in advance. We advise our guests that its best for us to book them a tables(s) at around 1700 which they will then have until the tent closes.
We do though encourage guests to make the most of the Oktoberfest atmosphere and to have a wander round during the afternoon and go on some of the rides and perhaps buy some souvenirs.
Typical 2024 Oktoberfest hospitality packages include:
• One or two nights accommodation in a city centre hotel. We have a range of three, four and five star hotels available nearby.
• Return airport transfers.
• Guided historical tour of Oktoberfest.
• Table(s) reservations in one of the tents where you will also have your food and drinks allowance. Traditional Baverian costumes can be hired too.
• VIP ticket to the Oktoberfest after party with return transfers included.
• All event management – handling all arrangements, on site customer support via our English speaking guides who also escort you to the Oktoberfest and to the after party, souvenir photos and a gingerbread heart per guest printed with company logo if you so wish.
